These terms govern the rights and obligations regarding the use of the online file conversion service (hereinafter "Service") provided through the convert4u website (hereinafter "Website"). This Service is currently provided for free, including advertisements, but the content of these terms may be changed or separate terms may apply if a paid version of the Service is introduced in the future.

1. Provider and Scope

• convert4u is an online file conversion service operating under the laws of the Republic of Korea
• These Terms of Use cover all file conversion services that can already be used now or in the future via the Website.
• The application of the user's terms and conditions is excluded, even if the user refers the provider to their validity and the provider does not expressly object.

2. Scope of Services and Availability

• The subject matter of the contract is the use of the online file conversion functions as they are made available.
• The Service is provided "as is". The presence of specific functionalities, a certain reliability, availability, or suitability for certain purposes is not subject to the service.
• The service provider is under no obligation to further develop (upgrade, update) the products.
• Document processing may encounter errors or temporary unavailability, in which case the service provider may reject the user's offer to perform document processing.
• Within the scope of use, the user uploads documents or files of any kind (user documents) to the service provider's server.
• After completion of the processing (e.g., output of a PDF document for download by the user), the copy of the user documents processed on the service provider's servers is completely deleted, typically within one hour.
• The service provider assumes no liability for the correctness and/or completeness of the document processing. It is the user's responsibility to check the document or file created during processing.

3. Payment Obligation

• The Service available on the Website within the scope of these Terms of Use is currently provided free of charge, including advertisements.
• The user is not entitled to a free provision also in the future.
• A possible chargeable use in the future is not subject to these Terms of Use for the current free use, and these terms may be modified or separate terms may apply. New fees and prices may be communicated in advance if a paid service is introduced.
• If you subscribe to any paid Service, you agree to pay the applicable fees, any applicable taxes, and any applicable third-party fees (e.g., telephone toll charges, credit card fees).

4. Obligations of the User

• The user must ensure that they are entitled to use the user documents within the scope of the Service and that they do not violate the rights of third parties, in particular copyrights. Any use in violation of this clause is expressly prohibited.
• The user has to ensure that the use of the user documents within the scope of the Service does not violate official guidelines and/or legal regulations of any kind. In particular, the use of user documents with racist, pornographic, offensive, or anti-constitutional content is prohibited.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs via your account.
• Your login may only be used by one person – a single login shared by multiple people is not permitted.
• You must not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright or trademark laws).

5. Limitation of Liability

• The Service is provided without consideration or reimbursement of expenses for the supplier. Against this background, the limitations of liability in this clause apply.
• The Service is provided "as-is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service provider disclaims and excludes any and all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of non-infringement, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• The service provider makes no commitments about the content within the Services. The service provider further disclaims and excludes any and all warranty that the Services will meet your requirements or will be constantly available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• The service provider specifically disclaims any liability for any actions resulting from your use of any Services. You may use and access the Services at your own discretion and risk, and you are solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the use and access of any Service.
• The service provider shall only be liable for any damage arising from the fact that the user relies on the freedom of the products from material defects and defects of title if the service provider has fraudulently concealed a defect in the law and/or a defect in the products.
• For other damages, the service provider is liable to the user without limitation, insofar as these are based on an intentional or grossly negligent breach of contractual obligations.
• In all other respects, the liability of the service provider is excluded.

5.1 User's Indemnification Obligations

• You will indemnify the service provider and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, employees, partners, and licensors from any claim, demand, loss, or damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to your content, your use of the Services or Software, or your violation of these terms.

6. Rights to the Website and the Services

• The contents and functions available on the Website are protected by copyright and/or trademark law or other protective rights in favor of the service provider or third parties.
• You are especially not allowed to resell any of our products, Software, and/or Services.
• You retain all rights and ownership of your content. The service provider does not claim any ownership rights to your content.
• Only the technically conditioned duplication of the website in the context of the page call by a browser in non-automated form is permitted.
• If the products are integrated into a website, visitors to this website must be permitted to use them free of charge. The service may not be resold.

7. Misuse and Abuse

• Misuse of the Services is not permitted.
• In particular, the use of the Services via automated scripts or the like is not permitted.
• You must not copy, modify, host, stream, sublicense, or resell the Services or content.
• Sharing content or engaging in behavior that violates anyone’s Intellectual Property Right is forbidden.

• The integration of the products in websites with racist, pornographic, insulting, anti-constitutional, forbidden, or illegal contents is not permitted in any case.

8. Account and Termination

• You may stop using the Services at any time.
• convert4u may terminate the Service/this agreement at any time.
• We may, at any time, terminate your right to use and access the Services if you breach any provision of these terms, fail to make timely payment of fees (if paid service is introduced), or if we are required to do so by law.

9. General Provisions

• The entire legal relationship between the user and the service provider with regard to the Website and the Services shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea to the exclusion of conflict of laws provisions.
• In the event that individual provisions of these Terms of Use are invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
• If a dispute arises between the user and the service provider, and a lawsuit is filed, the Seoul Central District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
